And it lived happily ever after. . .

[j-d] This morning while walking the Angels, I came upon a dead possum in the road. And, found a tiny little hairless baby by the curb. I looked around any other orphan children, but was too timid to go near the fly infested carcass in the street.

However, I brought the live baby home and found a vet in Louisville who takes wild animals who are hurt-- treats them and then places them with volunteers who raise them to health and release them back into the wild.

I am pleased to report that weighing in at 2.4 grams, just above the survival rate of 2.2 grams, the little possum drank some formula and the vet believes will be fine. It has currently been placed in the care of the "possum lady" and looks forward to long life and happiness:)

FYI: She is one of 18 possums being taken care of by Mary!!! Thanks Mary! :)
